Whoops, I originally posted this in the wrong thread...

They sure look like rocks to me, or possibly a Mars candy bar that some stage hand left on the set that the rover ran over. Yes, of course I am joking; everyone knows that since the Apollo Coke bottle incident they don't allow food on the set ;)

Going right back to the thread stater, and the image, there is a sandy area in the middle of the shot amongst lots of ruggeredness.
What is that sitting on the large rock in front?
Moving down near the bottom of the shot there is a flat paver with what looks like a human skull.
If the image is inlarged gradually, other rocks appear to have double holes like eye sockets in darkend skulls.
Are my eye deceiving me?
