Leroy Chao on "The Late Late Show" last night

Did anyone else happen to watch "The Late Late Show" (the show that follows David Letterman) last night? One of the guests was astronaut Leroy Chao.

Even though he was the third guest (the one who usually gets the least time) he actually got more time (two segments with a commercial break in between) than the two celebrity guests before him (Jennifer Tilly and Corbin Bernsen) who each only got one segment.

The host (Craig Ferguson) seemed to be genuinely interested in Chao's six month mission aboard the ISS (and bored to death by the celebrity guests).

If I'd known he was coming on, I'd have made a point to stay awake-- but I fell asleep sitting up in my chair sometime during Letterman and happened to wake up to catch about the last two minutes of Chao.  Will look forward to that show being re-run next time Ferguson takes a vacation.  From what I saw- it's nice to see that Leroy seems to maintain the 'right stuff' astronaut gift of matter-of-fact understatement- with a cool sense of humor!

He seems like a cool guy, and he did get some good laughs out of the audience.

I did a quick search of the CBS website but couldn't find anything about transcripts for the Late Late Show. They do have an email link, so maybe you could ask them.
