Upcoming on Discovery Channel

Howard Swartz (BellaSwartz productions) produced the "Astronaut Diaries" documentary with some footage shot by Dave Brown before the Columbia accident. The show is set to air this Sat. May 14, on the Discovery Science Channel, 8 p.m. Central.  Here's the link for a reminder and more details:

The RTF documentary Howard's been putting together for a year now will air as part of the "Greats at 8" series the following evening, May 15, at 7 p.m. Central on the Discovery Channel. The last hour of this program (yet to be filmed) will air after the mission. Link and reminder:

I just read about "Astronaut Diaries" over at Space.com. I hope it airs in Canada... or even better... gets released on DVD.

I hadn't heard about the other special. Chances are it won't air in Canada either.

It turned out that these aired on "The Science Channel" not Discovery itself.  Unless you had satellite, you couldn't see it - at least my cable doesn't carry Science Channel.  Sorry.

I missed that show but I did see the "Space Shuttle: Return to flight" show on Discovery channel yesterday.  After watching the tile patch up kits portion of the show, I had a few ideas of my own but they might be too heavy to haul up since it uses pressurized gas tanks.  I could not think of any repair kit ideas for the RCC.
