I hope so too... and if you don't want to just give me a call and I will do it for you. ;)

I just got back from the polls, so I've earned my right to complain for the next four years. :)

We get to complain for up to five years (although maybe not for our current PM who might not last that long). :)

I will vote after work.  After that I am going to the movies because I am tired of listening to "prediction polls" and how the networks declare a winner by 5pm PST.

It looks like you will be lucky to have a winner by 5pm tomorrow... or by Christmas for that matter. Hopefully your next election won't be so close.

lol... someone online called me a 'Kerry lover' when I beat him at chess... I guess that's somehow an insult of some sort.

Regardless of who won I'm glad they were at least able to sort it out more quickly (and clearly) than the 2000 election. Yes, they're still looking at Ohio, but I think Bush has probably won.

I agree. I don't know if it's "better the devil you know than the devil you don't" but, personally, I am glad to see that the Moon Mars & Beyond Initiative is still alive. That's probably selfish but I didn't trust Kerry when it came to space & NASA.
I know that was not a big issue in the States but it was with me!

I expected a closer popular vote.  Going into the election I thought Kerry might pull it out, but Bush's conservative base was apparently too strong.  It's not officially over for Kerry, but I've been crunching the numbers for Ohio and I can't see how he can possibly make up Bush's current lead.  Kerry would have to take a statistically improbable percentage of the uncounted votes to win the state, and who ever wins Ohio wins the election.  Hopefully Kerry will come to this realization and concede.

I hope the Bush administration follows through with their space initiative... it was the only thing they had going for them, in my opinion.

This was hardly mentioned during the campaign. Let's face it; most people really don't care much about the space program. From what I did hear, I'm pretty sure Kerry would have killed Bush's plan for the Moon and Mars.

EDIT:  Deleted political statements. ... Let's keep the focus on space.

The late breaking news is that Kerry has just called Bush to concede the election.  Thank God we won't be going through another 2000 Florida fiasco.
