I saw it on a website once... I'm not sure where it was. I'll look on some of the download sites I have been to and let you know if I find it again.

Hi Kel,

Thanks muchly. Have you ever played the game? It can be brutal. I used to play it a lot when it first came out. Only won once, and that was with the Russians! Go figure. In any case, thanks again.

No, I haven't played it. It looks like a lot of fun though, and I'm going to download it tonight.

Another old space game I used to enjoy was "Apollo 18". I had it for my old Commodore 64 when I was a kid. It was hard though.

By the way, I got your email about the Apollo 7 photos from the museum and I would definately like to see them. Please email me at [email protected]. I remember seeing the Apollo 7 capsule at the Science & Technology museum in Ottawa when I was a kid but at the time I didn't realize just how important it was.

Bill,

Did you get the Buzz Aldrin game to work on your computer? I downloaded it and unzipped the file but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the "buzz.rar" file. Is it a compressed file?

Hi Kel,

Sorry for the delay. I have no clue what "buzz.rar" is. The download doesn't work for me either.

I found out that RAR files are compressed and you need a program called WinRAR to open them.

I found WinRAR at http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10097-100-6992122.html?tag=st.dl.10014.pop.10097-100-6992122">download.cnet.com but I haven't tried it yet.

Good question!  I scoured the Web looking for it, but couldn't find it anywhere, even on Kazaa.  I finally found a used copy of it on Amazon.com and purchased it.  I'd be happy to share (I mean, it's not sold new any more), but I don't have anywhere near enough Web space available...

pfffft, Kazaa...

I'd be happy to host it though, pm me and I'll set you up an FTP account so you can upload it. ;)

bear in mind bandwidth is expensive especially when its going in 600Mb chunks, so i'll have to cap monthly downloads to maybe 30/month...

apologies for the double post, i added the last bit after i clicked stop in my browser, feel free to remove it...

and i assume this is legal? the entire source is up at race into space's sourceforge now, and most of the footage is NASA stock footage...

I think the fact that the source has been made available makes sharing it ok, but I'm not a lawyer...

Same here. I've been playing the version from the Underdogs for years now, and I'd just love to get my hands on the CD version.
