Voyager 1 leaves the Solar System
« on: October 08, 2012, 11:06:27 AM »
Saw the article on NASAWatch, it looks like Voyager 1 left the Solar System.  I know no one has taken notice with the launch of SpaceX's Dragon yesterday.  Take a look at the graph for the Cosmic Rat rate: http://voyager.gsfc.nasa.gov/heliopause/heliopause/recenthist.html
I guess we have to confirm this with Voyager 2 when it leaves.

Looks like the Cosmic Ray count went up on Voyager 1.  http://www.agu.org/news/press/pr_archives/2013/2013-11.shtml
I guess Voyager 1 was in the eye of the storm while going through the heliopause.
