Found: Nova's Russian Right Stuff series.
« on: March 15, 2012, 11:40:32 PM »
That is right!  After 21 years of searching I have found the videos that inspired me to research S.P. Korolev and the Russian Space Program.
It looks like Nova imported the show from its English equivalent called "Horizons" and the series was called "Red Star In Orbit", since it was based off of James Oberg's book.  It is a three part program.  Luckily someone has posted the videos on Youtube.  I invite everyone on the board here to view these first peaks at the Soviet Space Program during the last years of the Cold War: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheVietnamChannel

Enjoy,

SM

IIRC Nova/Horizons is a co-production of WGBH Boston and the BBC; with each version edited, narrated etc. to suit the audience on whichever side of the pond it will be shown in. I'm subscribed to the Vietnam Channel and I somehow missed those videos, I'll have to watch them. Thanks for the heads-up (granted it's 10 months after you posted it lol).
