I think crossing the street is more dangerous than flying to the moon

You should hear the stories my dad brings back from his travels to India...

I am not in India for many years...

You see, there is a hierachy of who has right of way on the street (or dirt track, whatever you want to call it). Basically, anything huge ALWAYS has right of way over anything smaller. So you just get lorries doing fine... cars gridlocked... cattle randomly roaming the streets... the bikes have absolutely no chance with all the cars and lorries having right of way over them, with the pedestrians at the bottom of the pile.

Another rule is that as long as you are in a car, you must continually 'honk' the horn to notify others of your presence, as failure to do so renders you liable for any accident.

Some years ago, people in china were always honking like this, but I did not notice it in this trip. I think there are so many cars, no one will listen when they are all honking...
