Funny, but sometimes it does happen. The actress Hedy Lamarr was quite brilliant and is one of the inventors of spread spectrum radio control systems.

I really have to question this, I did a little work and found blogs dated all the way back to 2001 and all of them have drawn the same conclusion. No hard evidence, but they all drew the conclusion that the rumor was made up by a fan if Britteny's. It seems like this "rumor" isn't new and no solid evidence other than fan sites for Brittney state this (of course blogs aren't the best sources either.)
