A bit of trouble

Hello everyone,

Just joined, but I am having some problems already.  My apologies if these are simply a result of my unfamiliarity with the board software.  But here goes:

1) I cannot send PMs.

2) I cannot view anyone else's profile.

The next one is unquestionably operator error:

3) I carelessly mistyped my login name when registering.  The genus is correct, but the species should be "bibiens" - note the current incorrect spelling.  Is there a way to change this?

Well, looks like 1) and 2) are resolved.  I don't know if it took logging back out and logging back in again, or if it just took some time for the various permissions to take effect.  But, now that I can PM, I will deal with 3) that way.  So all points may now be safely ignored :)

The ability to send PMs and view profiles only becomes available after you've made 1 post in the forum. This is to prevent spammers from sending messages to other users.

I can change your name for you. If you can't log in using the name you registered with try the new one. I should have it changed soon.
