NASA Astronaut David M. Low, son of former Apollo Program Director George M. Low, died of colon cancer on Saturday March 15th 2008. Low was a member of the 10th group of astronauts selected by NASA in May of 1984. He was a veteran of three spaceflights as a Mission Specialist on STS missions 32, 43 & 57. He accomplished one spacewalk on his final mission lasting 5 hours and 50 minutes. David Low was 52 years old.
