Hey there people,

Was looking for an appropriate place to make some comments and wound up here, to express my respect and appreciation in being with The Space Race so far these past few months.

It has to do with a string of comments submitted by a Hyu2004 (Hung-Hsuan Yu) member and his stubborn logic in the Special Interest forum, Fact or Fiction heading. Topic: 'Everyone Knows It Was Impossible to Land on the Moon'. It was interesting how your members dealt with such an individual, and how much sincere patience was used, but not taken seriously enough by this 'member' in time.

I was actually begining to have a good laugh on the first page, felt sorry for all of you by page 2 and hope the point was made and some lessons learned by page 3. Still incredible to think there are those who so want to stomp on credible, and even historic acceptance, 'we of the sharring corners' of such science as we relate to around here. But I realize everything can be debatable and that's the challenge and even fun in the whole process, if you keep our mind and emotions about you.

I too have run across such personalities at a few websites of which I have run and been member. This person would have even been banned for such bias thinkng and overkill of the explanations. You folks used good science reference rather than direct sarcastic, patronizing. I liked the approach, even if you didn't see it that way. Nice to know I'm among the clever.

The guy didn't last a month (8 entries) after that.

By the way, loved Johno's label of 'educated laymen' to refer to those of other members and their backgrounds. Bravo.

(And, I'll have to discuss a many years old idea for a 'Laymen's Library' idea I've had for book and CD library publication.)

     Eh, another time maybe.

There has been several post I've wanted to reply to but haven't taken the time, the same with following up on that list above. Can someone please slow this world down
for a few years so I can get back on. I think I got lost somewhere there between
Pluto getting downsized and the talk one dark matter and dark energy. What is this
dark matter anyway can anyone see it, How do you know its there? Also if there
was a cloud of oxygen the size of Jupiter floating around, could we see it? would it have energy along with it, ie gravity or something? sorry just getting lost again!

Yoe I-spaced,

     You snooze, ya loose.  :yoda:

Jus' kiddin, but stuff happens and you aren't alone. Many things get by all of us which may be of interest and the subjects have already been talked out before you get there to add your side of the observation.

That's why whenever I go visiting at other websites of interests I try and be careful, and thorough enough, in digging into the subjectmatter's history of post exchange before offering up any opinion and added information which may be related to it.
Hopefullly the website in question will be organized, as I look over the recent history, and can tell as well, if the members are sincere in their explanations and even, have some knowledge of what they have been discussing between themselves.
What really helps is when the topics are consistant with the material first presented for debate and not being diverted towards unrelated, or off-the-wall comparatives or rambling conversation. That is the responsibility of moderators as well to keep things in an orderly fashion, directing members and visitors alike, to the proper headings which may be active and of interests to those observing the postings.

That is, if it is a serious enough website and those responsible for it, have their own time and personal interest in their creation and level of involvement for such a project.

As indicated, this area is for Comments and Suggestions and should be understood and used as such. To go on to the items you mentioned it would be more comfortable and logical to get into the headings where the subjects could then be witnessed by others and expanded upon being that it has full and more applied attention as it deserves. Or, it would be lost in an unrelated column heading as this. (Especially for those just tuning in, if they hadn't spotted it at the 'latest and current' post messaging home-page, to stimulate further reasoning between individuals.)

I'd just love to talk about those items you mentioned. Member Glactus and I had exchanged ideas and gave articles in the past at other websites on Dark Matter and Dark Energy. All part of today's astrophysics and relatively new to the field. If you think a decade or more is new and theoreticals apply.

As for clouds of Oxygen? Blowing in the solar wind. Just kiddin' again but that is a good possiblility as well.

     (Ain't astrophysics cool though?  8))

Wanna talk summore? Let's find the right corner and share it with others around here. That's what I say!
Then, we can all let loose and jaw properly. But where should we take this if you want to know more?

So we both won't get lost. Okay?
