Am I the only one that has to sign in everytime? I have tried all the options for the length of time to remain signed in and on return I  get "welcome guest". At one time I thought it might be simply that I use different PCs during the workday(night) but Kel's other board remembers me. Any ideas?

Hmmm...

Let me think about this for a little while. I'm not sure what the cause of that would be, but I do enjoy a challenge from time to time. ;) Maybe if Orstio stops by he'll know the answer.

It is not enough of an issue to lose any sleep over. I have always had to do this and haven't complained yet :lol:

Rufus,

Are you sure you flagged the "forever" option on the "Keep me logged in " question?

Yes. Actually I have used every option just to see if that would have any effect. It doesn't seem to.

Well the last two times that I have locked my computer the board recognised me. Perhaps it was something else that happened the first time

I have the exact same problem - but only on my home computer (Windows XP Home Edition).  My office (where I check the board on occassion - shh! don't tell) has never been a problem (Windows XP Pro).  Both have Service Pack 2 and the latest IE.

The only thing I can suggest is to try deleting all of the cookies your browser has saved and to re-login.

I've tried that as well. Go figure - nothing to lose sleep over, though.

Do you have database driven sessions enabled, Kel?

Yeah, I just checked and it is enabled. Should I disable that? I'm not entirely sure of the purpose of that feature.

Snake River Rufus and Evancise;

Do you access the forum using forum.thespacerace.com or www.thespacerace.com/forum/? Either one works fine but I think because I didn't have a certain option checked in the forum configuration cookies might not have worked properly for the first address. I have changed that setting and I hope it will fix the problem.

Yes, that should be checked for best performance.

The next thing I was going to ask about was subdomain independent cookies, which I'm guessing you just figured out.  :)
