I certainly remember all the songs, but the only blank I can fill in (without cheating) is Something In The Air by Thunderclap Newman.  I have it on the vinyl soundtrack album of "The Strawberry Statement."

BTW- I thought it was really cool how "Something In The Air" was brought back many years later in the sound track for one of my favorite little space movies- "The Dish."  :D

Well, it's been a day with no further takers so . . . the other four are . .

Ma Belle Amie by the Tee Set
The Israelites by Desmomd Decker & the Aces
Alley-Oop by The Hollywood Argyles and
Indiana Wants Me by R.Dean Taylor.

As you got seven correct Bob feel free to ask another question if you want to keep this thread going.
Man must explore . . . and this is exploration at its greatest

Oh yes- since it's set during Apollo 11 in '69, it's tracked with music from the time.  Great film- worth seeing when you get a chance!  :D

I agree; it is a very entertaining movie with a great sound track.

So what are the rules for this thread?  Can we ask any music related question we want?

A.   The Beattles
B.   The Supremes
C.   The Bee Gees
D.   Paul McCartney
E.   Elvis Presley

A.   Rock Around The Clock
B.   Mack The Knife
C.   Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White
D.   Don’t Be Cruel
E.   Sincerely

During the decade of the 1960s, what song spent the most weeks in the top 10?
A.   I Want to Hold Your Hand
B.   I’m A Believer
C.   Hey Jude
D.   The Theme from “A Summer Place”
E.   Sugar, Sugar

During the decade of the 1970s, what song spent the most weeks in the top 40?
A.   You Light Up My Life
B.   Stayin’ Alive
C.   American Pie
D.   Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head
E.   I Just Want To Be Your Everything

Great question Bob!

My attempt would be A,B,C,D,C & A.

That would be; The Beatles, Elvis, Cherry Pink & Apple Blossom White, Summer Place, American Pie & Unchained Melody . . . .

BTW . . . You Light Up My Life was the song we used for our first dance at my wedding :D

You are correct with...

#1 - A, The Beatles
#2 - B, Elvis Presley

Your answers to the others are all incorrect.

So Ottawan has 2 correct answers with 4 more still up for grabs.
