Since I was a fan of the series, just had to go see it.  Promise I won't give anything away!

It's a fun flick- and I was glad to see them maintain the western parody that made the series fun.... though maybe a little too heavy on fistfights for good sci-fi.  Of course you see & hear lots more detail on the big screen- but not sure if it merits being a 'major motion picture' when a 2hr TV movie might have done the trick.  It does a good job of picking up where the series left off (so I don't know if it would make sense to anyone who has not seen the TV show) and it does a good job of wrapping up the series so I don't expect any sequels... and if there are, they probably won't be as good, for reasons you'll get when you see it.  That's about all I can say without spoiling.... :)

I'm looking forward to seeing it... I'm not sure when I'll get a chance though. I'm glad you liked it. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Most reviewers are giving it three stars (out of four), which I think is exactly right.  It is somewhat uneven, but the plusses outweigh the minuses by far.  I notice that it's getting a lot of good write-ups in the big city papers.  I hope that this translates into good attendance.  I would love to see more.

I keep hearing rumors that the sci-fi channel might pick it up as a series. I hope so as I get a kick out of Joss's work. Also note that the box set has two episodes not shown on the tube.
